Responsibilities

The front-end developer role will initially be responsible for implementing a new client-side UI for presenting and interacting with data being produced by a server-side platform. Other tasks may include maintaining an existing product base.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in an Agile development environment using HTML5, CSS, JS frameworks and other technologies.
  • Design and implement consumer grade user experiences and interfaces for a variety of products.
  • Work with Product Owners and team to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Deduce and document use cases from customer requirements.
  • Author development documentation and test plans for the products developed.
  • Maintain project tracking status of development quotes, progress, and any impediments.

Skills / Attributes Desired

  • Deep Javascript knowledge (particularly ES6)
  • CSS3
  • HTML5
  • CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS)
  • Linux
  • Package management (node/webpack/etc.)
  • Build tools (grunt/gulp)
  • Frameworks: ReactJS, Angular/Angular2, other JavaScript frameworks
  • Bootstrap
  • Git

 

Additional Preferred Experience

  • JSON ReST API and AJAX experience
  • Good understanding of HTTP(S) request/response cycle and composition
  • AWS experience and understanding of cloud services
